Naruto was sealed by Jigen in a giant kettle-like jar during Sasuke’s and his fight against the villain. The Broken Seal ( 解放された封印, Kaihō Sareta Fūin) is episode 16 of the original Naruto anime. Naruto does however, use ALL nine tails, when he fights Pain (around chapters 438-443).
